Feb 24th 2017, we dived at Botubarani and encountered with 2 playfull juvenile whalesharks.
Botubarani is a name of village in the province of Gorontalo, North part of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It’s a small fisherman village, that suddenly become tourist point of interest after the sightings of a family of whalesharks.
I considered my self of being lucky to get a chance to dive and dance with the two whalesharks, two siblings juveniles i supposed. they were approximately 4m in length. The whole whalesharks were reported to be missing a week before our arrival, well, not sure if it were part of their seasonality migration, but yippppiieeee lucky us :).
